Missions Accomplished

Since the formation of the Prexie Pride Foundation in February 2003, this non-profit group has actively pursued their goals. Thus far, the foundation’s efforts have resulted in the following accomplishments:

• Awarded four student scholarships through the Prexie Pride Golf Classic totaling $3,000.00
  
• Purchased two video cameras for instructional and athletic use
  
• Sponsored the Senior Picnic for the classes of 2003 and 2004
  
• Obtained a community grant for $25,000.00 to assist in stadium renovation costs
  
• Contributed $6,500.00 to teachers in grades K through 12 for instructional materials
  
• Organized and participated in volunteer work sessions to restore and improve school district facilities
  
• Purchased 10 computers for a computer lab
  
• Purchased state-of-the-art sound equipment for the Washington Park School auditorium
  
• Used a Calendar Ticket fundraiser to contribute over $10,000.00 to participating school groups
  
• Established a Prexie Pride “Wall of Honor” at the stadium to honor administrators, board members, educators, athletes, volunteers and musicians who exemplify the spirit of the Washington School District
